Tea for Two and Two for Tea

Today I had the pleasure of going to the Beehive Tea Room with my sister in-law Moriah (and Magnus of course). I drink tea at home and have had it at fast service coffee houses but had never been to a tea room. When you go in you order immediately and then you are free to choose a place to sit from several little rooms. The decor is Grandma Chic. It is comforting with rich deep colors and comfy furniture.

 Moriah and I chose to share a pot of lavender tea, and ordered lunch. Mag chose hot chocolate. I know this picture of him is blurry but it totally captured his surprise at the way the  hot chocolate was served.

 The food was good, sandwiches you could probably get in any sandwich shop, but the tea was amazing!! It was like drinking heaven. The lavender taste was strong and so relaxing! The service was good, it did take a while for our food to arrive, but considering the presentation it was not too long.

All in all it was amazing. I left with a bag of tea for me and a piece of cheesecake for my husband. I would go again, and when we have visitors from I will definitely make it one of the things we do!
